Privacy Policy

Overview

Sorriso Nation helps academy students manage Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, bookings, progress, profile information, and community features. Combate provides the app platform for Sorriso Nation and processes information needed to operate those services.

Information We Collect

• Account information such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, membership status, and student type.
• Profile information such as belt level, stripes, phone number, date of birth, bio, emergency contact details, address, home academy, and profile photo.
• Training information such as attendance, bookings, weekly goals, progress, reflections, and leaderboard participation.
• Community and content information such as announcements, rankings, learning content interactions, and app activity needed for core features.
• Website waitlist information such as name, phone number, and email address when you submit the public waitlist form.
• Technical information needed to operate and protect the app, including network status, session state, diagnostics, and IP address processed by service providers.

How We Use Information

• Provide login, invite acceptance, password reset, profile, timetable, attendance, progress, and academy content features.
• Support class booking, academy operations, safety, emergency contact, and student support workflows.
• Show privacy-filtered leaderboard and community features where enabled by the academy.
• Upload and display profile photos selected by the user.
• Respond to waitlist, privacy, support, and account deletion requests.
• Improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, secure the service, and prevent misuse.

Service Providers

We use service providers to operate the app and website, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services; Google Places for address autocomplete; Google Gemini or other AI providers if AI features are enabled; and Apple and Google platform services for app distribution and store review.

Photos, Address Lookup, And AI Features

If you choose a profile photo, the app requests photo library access only so you can select and upload that image. If you use address autocomplete, address search text is sent to Google Places to return matching address suggestions. If AI coaching or chat features are enabled, submitted prompts and relevant app context may be processed to generate responses.

Leaderboards And Community Visibility

Leaderboard data is filtered by student type and app permissions. Other students may see limited ranking information such as display name, belt, rank, and session counts where community features are enabled.

Account Deletion And Retention

You can request account deletion from the app under Profile settings or from our public account deletion page. We will review and delete your app account and associated personal data where possible. Some academy, attendance, safety, legal, billing, financial, or operational records may be retained where required or permitted by law or legitimate academy operations.

Children And Teens

Sorriso Nation may include teen or child student profiles managed as part of academy operations. Parent, guardian, or academy administrator involvement may be required depending on the student and academy policies.
